The van is called Marjorie
Eleven seats, one working tape deck and a rule about who chooses the music.

Marjorie has eleven seats, of which five are usable, and a tape deck that plays one side of any tape before giving up.
The rule is that the driver chooses the music and nobody else speaks about it. Pilar drives the most, so we know a great deal about her taste.
Fourteen nights in March is about four thousand miles. Marjorie has done more, slowly.
